What is Counselling?Counselling is a professional, therapeutic relationship between a client and a counsellor, where in a client shares their concerns with the counsellor. The client and counsellor together explore healthy and effective ways to overcome/ deal with the presenting concerns along with empowerement of the client to take the charge of their life and effectively cope with their struggles.

I don't have any Mental Health Disorder, can I still seek counselling?"Yes, you can. Counselling deals with any type of concern a person may be dealing with, which might be making them feel overwhelmed. It sometimes may also happen that you are unable to point finger at a specific feeling or concern that you may be dealing with, at that time you can seek the help of a counsellor in figuring it out too.

When should one seek counselling?There is no wrong or right time to seek counselling. But if an individual notices any changes in their thought and behavioural pattern which is different from the usual self such as : a. Obsessive negative thoughts b. Difficulty in concentration/ paying attention c. Change in sleeping and/or eating pattern d. Feelings of being low, sad, distressed, confused etc. e. Lack of interest in previously enjoyed things f. Loneliness or Social isolation g. Worsening of physical problems

How long counselling will go on for?There isn't any specific number of sessions that can be set at the beginning of the counselling. It entirely depends on the severity of the concerns and the coping ability of the client.

How long does a session last for?The sessions are timed from anywhere between 45 mins- 60 mins.

Will the information be kept confidential?Yes, whatever shared in a counselling session is strictly kept between the counsellor and the client. It is however, important for you to understand that under certain circumstances the ethics requires that we reveal information: 1. Where there is reasonable suscipicion of abuse to self or others. 2. Where the client presents a serious and forseeable danger to life of self or others. 3. When ordered to do so by a judge in the court of law.

How can I book a session?You can go to ' Session Booking' and click on 'Book Appointment'. You will then be required to fill out a Registration Form. Once we receive your details, you will be receiving an email from our end to schedule a session, within 24 Hrs.

How are the sessions conducted?The sessions are conducted via Email, Chat, Audio and Video mode.

Can I switch from one mode to another?Yes, you can. You can mention your preference in the Registration Form.

How can I make the payment?Sessions are pre- booked and the payments are done online, via UPI /Google Pay/ Paytm/ Bank Transfer as per your preference.

Can I schedule a session on the same day?You are requested to schedule the session atleast 24 hrs in advance. Only critical cases are taken up on the same day.

What are the available timings for the session?We are available from 12:00 PM - 6:30 PM from Monday- Saturday. Will I be eligible for a refund, if I chose to discontinue?"Payment done for sessions conducted, cannot be refunded. However, if you choose to cancel an appointment and wish to discontinue our services, you will be eligible for a refund based on our refund policy.

Can I cancel/ reschedule an appointment?Yes you can cancel and/ or reschedule a fixed appointment. However you are expected to inform your counsellor atleast 24 hrs in advance. Additionally, Rs. 100/- will be charged for broken appointments due to our inability to offer that time to another client.

Who are the Counsellors?Ms. Saumya Maithani and Ms. Sheryll Prabhakar Rayan, are the Co-Founders and Counsellors of SafeRealm.

What are their qualifications?Ms. Sheryll Prabhakar Rayan is a professional Counsellor with a Masters Degree in Counselling Psychology, a certified Neuro- Lingusitic Programming (NLP) Practitioner, QPR Suicide Prevention Gatekeeper and a Practitioner of Self Hypnosis and a Master Hypnotist. Ms. Saumya Maithani is a professional Counsellor with a Masters Degree in Counselling Psychology, a certified Neuro- Linguistic Programming (NLP) Practitioner, QPR Suicide Prevention Gatekeeper and a Career Coach.
